I haven't updated in a while so this is what has happened since our last post.
We were accepted into the Ethiopia program through Holt! YEAH!
Recently we have been working on our dossier. This is basically just a bunch of official papers about Justin and I. We have to collect and send them to Holt. These papers will be translated into Amharic and sent to Ethiopia for approval.
We have also been working on on home study paperwork. Also more papers about us that go to our social worker. We have to meet with a social worker who will write a report on us. She basically will state whether we are a good family to adopt or not.
YIKES!
Talk about pressure.
We have also signed up for some adoption classes that we have to take in October. I believe we have to have 10 hours of class time.
The next step is to actually schedule a time to meet with the social worker
(we have to meet 4 separate times)
Hopefully we will have a favorable home study to send to Holt by the beginning of next month.
